Skills For Life
Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College offers introductory courses to students wishing
to develop their confidence in basic literacy and numeracy. You may feel that you left school
without achieving your full potential and now wish to return to education to improve your
basic skills, possibly after a break to bring up children, to take a change of direction, gain
qualifications or develop employment prospects.
Students may want to develop new skills and gain self-confidence. The small, friendly groups
meet in the mornings, afternoons or evenings. You can achieve qualifications through
coursework or exams. An informal interview, which you can do anytime throughout the year,
is required before you enrol.
Entry Level courses
Our courses have an excellent reputation for
providing essential skills and preparing students
for employment whilst developing a student's
confidence in social and vocational situations. We
provide a friendly and supportive learning
environment that aims to meet individual needs. If
you want to improve your basic communication,
literacy, numeracy, information technology skills
and vocational skills then these courses are
definitely for you.
GCSEs
GCSEs are essential qualifications for many jobs and
for entry on to further study and higher education.
The entry requirements for many degree-level
courses require GCSE English and Mathematics at
grade C or above. You could also re-sit your GCSE
Mathematics and English in order to gain a higher
grade and expand your choices for further study.

We are committed
to providing courses of the highest quality for
everyone. Our diverse Level 1 courses are about
gaining an introductory qualification in a vocational
area. We believe that everybody has the potential to
