Enrolment Dates

Enrolment is an incredibly busy time at the College, so please come along to the site where you wish to study at your very first opportunity. The availability of places changes all the time during enrolment and some of our most popular courses become full very quickly. If on the day you arrive there are no places available on your chosen course(s), once you have been interviewed and if you meet the entry requirements, we can usually put you on a waiting list.

It is essential you bring any exam results with you (original copies only) and if you have just left school, a reference from your teacher or head. If you are applying for a health or childcare course, you will need to bring a reference from an employer or someone who can support your application.

For English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses, you will need to book an enrolment appointment at the site where you wish to study.
You can do this by:
- Telephoning (freephone) 0800 980 2185
- emailing cic@wlc.ac.uk
- Visiting the College Information Centre at the site you wish to study

What you need to complete enrolment

If you have applied to do a course and we have offered you a place, we will send you a letter that will tell you the date you need to come in to enrol and what you need to bring with you. As there are many different documents and papers that we may need to see in order to complete your enrolment with us, it is important that you bring everything that may be relevant to your application with you on the day (this may include your passport). Please note: we cannot list everything you may need here and may need to ask you to return with additional documents when you visit us.

You will need:
• Money to pay the course fee – we accept payments by cash, cheque and most major debit and credit cards (except for American Express and Diners Club).
• Original and current documents confirming that you receive income-based benefits.
Please note: we cannot accept these documents if they are more than three months old.
• Original papers and documents from the Home Office or Immigration & Nationality Department to show your residency status and the visa(s) that you have.
• Original papers and documents about your application for asylum in this country and about any financial assistance that you receive. If you collect your money from the Post Office, please bring your IND card together with the latest receipt confirming payment.
• Relevant letters from the Student Loan Company if you have applied for a loan for your higher education course fees. These letters will confirm whether you are receiving the tuition fee loan (paid directly to the College) or maintenance loan (paid directly to you).
• Letter from your employer (on company headed paper), confirming responsibility for all course fees if you are an employer-sponsored student).

Freephone 0800 980 2185 if you:

  • Are unemployed and would like skills coaching - helping you to get the job you want.
  • Are applying for a teaching course.
  • Are not sure which course to apply for.
  • Have any questions about enrolling at the College.

Late enrolment

Late enrolment is sometimes possible subject to the availability of places on your chosen course. Please contact the College Information Centre on 0800 980 2185 or email cic@wlc.ac.uk for more details.
